Holy crap, y'all!

I'm going to have 10,000 hits on this thang soon! That's crazy! And it will nearly fall on the exact 1 year anniversary of my first post. (It says my first post was July 14, but it was actually the 13th. When I changed it to London time, it changed the time of all my previous posts as well...) When I started my blog, it never occurred to me that people would actually read it. I know that sounds stupid but I figured it would be one of those situations where if we went on a trip, I'd put the photos up and email all my family and say "Hey, check out our pictures from XYZ!" and they'd all look at it and that would be it until the next trip we took. I soon realized that I had a lot to say and who would have thunk it but people actually want to read what I have to say. I know. I, too, am baffled by this turn of events. Now if I can just get you people to start commenting...

So many lurkers, so few commenters...it is irritating isn't it? You just want people to write something!!

Congrats on one year! [Confession time] I've been lurking since I saw you post on The Nest last summer. I recognized you from the NC knot waaaaaaay back in the day (2003). It is a delight to read about your adventures. Cheers!

Okay, okay...I'll post a comment. Been reading your blog for about a month now and find it very interesting. It's probably because I'm also an American expat girl living in London. :)

Hi Heather - I was "Jules_NC" on the Knot (and still vist from time to time). I sadly never made it to a GTG, but watched in horror & great amusement at some of the things that went down after a GTG. I keep the blog updated with random Raleigh info for my 'rents who moved and my brother in Japan - enjoy!

There is a small chance that my husband's company may want him to work oversees for a while and I might get see what it's like to live out of the country! If so, I'll have to get some advice from you; my email is paulandjuliewedding [at] yahoo [dot] com

Sorry that I've been a lurker too. But I have to say that your blog is sooooo fun to read. Keep it up girl!

I'm a Laotion that have lived in America for ten years since I was five. Moved back to Laos when I was a teenager. Then got a job as a tour guide and I have always wanted to travel or lived abroad. Now I'm married to an American from California and living in India. Not a place of choice but it's been adventerous living here.

Enough of myself....I wanted to say again that I really really enjoy reading your blog and seeing the different places that you and your hubby traveled to. Oh, you are very trendy and cool.

I look forward to your blog everyday :)

Ok, I'll confess that I read your blog too. I was in London for a few months last year, but live in the states now, so I enjoy reading people's blogs from the UK. I miss London soooo much!

Good luck, have fun!
